Mookie Betts knows a thing or two about greatness.

The eight-time All-Star recently said fans shouldn't pit the accomplishments of his Los Angeles Dodgers teammate Shohei Ohtani against those of New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge but rather celebrate them both.

"I don't think one has to be better than the other one," Betts said in an appearance on the "B/R Walk-Off" podcast. "I think we should appreciate greatness. This is great. This is stuff that I don't know if we'll ever see again."

Ohtani recently became the sixth MLB player to record 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a season. He's on pace to post the first 50-50 campaign in league history.

Judge entered Thursday with an astonishing 51 home runs and a gaudy .333/.467/.731 slash line. He's well within reach of the AL-record 62 home runs he slugged in his MVP-winning 2022 season.

In Betts' mind, both Ohtani and Judge deserve high praise.

"I get the question (of Ohtani versus Judge), but I don't think it's a fair question because I think both can exist in the same space," Betts said.
