Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw exited Friday's game with a trainer after allowing a home run to the Arizona Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll in the second inning.

The Dodgers announced Kershaw exited the game with left big toe pain. His velocity had dipped to 87 mph.

Kershaw was replaced by Joe Kelly.

The left-hander entered Friday's game with a 3.72 ERA and 2.89 FIP in six starts for a Dodgers club riddled with injuries to the starting rotation.
