Major League Baseball announced the Gold Glove winners for the 2024 season on Sunday.
The Cleveland Guardians, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, and Seattle Mariners each had multiple players claim Gold Gloves.
There were 14 first-time winners, tying the most in a single year with 2022, according to MLB.com's Sarah Langs. This is the fifth straight year with 10-plus first-time winners, extending the longest streak in the award's history.

AL Catcher
Winner: Cal Raleigh (SEA)
Nominees: Freddy Fermin (KC), Jake Rogers (DET)
Raleigh picks up his first career Gold Glove after ranking in the 98th percentile in framing. He also threw out 32 base stealers for a 28% caught-stealing percentage.
AL First Base
Winner: Carlos Santana (MIN)
Nominees: Ryan Mountcastle (BAL), Nathaniel Lowe (TEX)
Santana wins his first career Gold Glove in his 15th season. The 38-year-old tied Mountcastle for the most defensive runs saved by an AL first baseman while ranking in the 97th percentile in outs above average.
AL Second Base
Winner: Andrés Giménez (CLE)
Nominees: Nicky Lopez (CWS), Marcus Semien (TEX)
The 2023 Platinum Glove winner wins the third Gold Glove of his career thanks to 20 defensive runs saved and just nine errors in more than 1,300 innings at second base.
AL Third Base
Winner: Alex Bregman (HOU)
Nominees: Ernie Clement (TOR), José Ramírez (CLE)
Bregman picks up his first career Gold Glove in what could be his last season with the Astros. Bregman finished tied for second in defensive runs saved among AL third basemen to go along with a career-best fielding run value of five.
AL Shortstop
Winner: Bobby Witt Jr. (KC)
Nominees: Anthony Volpe (NYY), Brayan Rocchio (CLE)
Witt was outstanding on both sides of the ball during a tremendous 2024 campaign, which included him ranking in the 99th percentile in outs above average and 95th percentile in fielding run value. The Gold Glove win is his first.
AL Left Field
Winner: Steven Kwan (CLE)
Nominees: Alex Verdugo (NYY), Colton Cowser (BAL)
Kwan has more than just an elite eye at the plate, winning his third straight Gold Glove. The 27-year-old has won the award every season he's played in the majors.
AL Center Field
Winner: Daulton Varsho (TOR)
Nominees: Jarren Duran (BOS), Jake Meyers (HOU)
Varsho finally wins his first career Gold Glove after narrowly missing out in past seasons. The 28-year-old led all big-league outfielders with 28 defensive runs saved and was tied for second in outs above average for his position.
AL Right Field
Winner: Wilyer Abreu (BOS)
Nominees: Juan Soto (NYY), Jo Adell (LAA)
Abreu collects some hardware in his rookie campaign thanks to terrific glove work for the Red Sox. The 25-year-old made several highlight-reel grabs throughout the season and ranked third in defensive runs saved among AL outfielders with 16.
AL Utility
Winner: Dylan Moore (SEA)
Nominees: Mauricio Dubón (HOU), Willi Castro (MIN)
Moore was Mr. Versatility for the Mariners, appearing at six different positions this season. The 32-year-old made only five errors all year despite Seattle using him all over the field.
AL Pitcher
Winner: Seth Lugo (KC)
Nominees: Cole Ragans (KC), Griffin Canning (LAA)
Lugo can add a Gold Glove to his list of 2024 accomplishments, which includes his first All-Star Game appearance and a career high in innings pitched. The 34-year-old didn't make an error on 43 defensive chances, recording 14 putouts and 29 assists.
NL Catcher
Winner: Patrick Bailey (SF)
Nominees: Gabriel Moreno (ARI), Will Smith (LAD)
Bailey has become the gold standard for defensive catchers, winning his first Gold Glove because of his elite framing, pop time, and caught-stealing average. The 25-year-old ranked in the 97th percentile or better in all three categories.
NL First Base
Winner: Christian Walker (ARI)
Nominees: Bryce Harper (PHI), Matt Olson (ATL)
Walker collects his third career Gold Glove, which should only make him more desirable in free agency. The 33-year-old ranked second in defensive runs saved by NL first basemen and finished in the 97th percentile in outs above average.
NL Second Base
Winner: Brice Turang (MIL)
Nominees: Ketel Marte (ARI), Bryson Stott (PHI)
It didn't take Turang long to establish himself as one of the NL's best defensive second basemen, winning his first Gold Glove in his sophomore campaign. The 24-year-old recorded 22 defensive runs saved in 2024.
NL Third Base
Winner: Matt Chapman (SF)
Nominees: Nolan Arenado (STL), Ryan McMahon (COL)
Chapman and Gold Gloves go together like peanut butter and jelly. The 31-year-old collects his fifth career Gold Glove in his first NL campaign at the hot corner after ranking in the 96th percentile in outs above average.
NL Shortstop
Winner: Ezequiel Tovar (COL)
Nominees: Masyn Winn (STL), Dansby Swanson (CHC)
Tovar was one of the only highlights for the Rockies amid a down season in Colorado. The gifted 23-year-old led the NL in double plays started and placed second in defensive runs saved among NL shortstops.
NL Left Field
Winner: Ian Happ (CHC)
Nominees: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (ARI), Brandon Marsh (PHI)
Happ wins his third straight Gold Glove after finishing the campaign with eight defensive runs saved and 11 outfield assists.
NL Center Field
Winner: Brenton Doyle (COL)
Nominees: Jacob Young (WSH), Blake Perkins (MIL)
Doyle earns his second Gold Glove in just his second big-league season, beating out stiff competition in Young and Perkins. The Rockies center fielder ranked fourth in defensive runs saved and second in outs above average among NL outfielders.
NL Right Field
Winner: Sal Frelick (MIL)
Nominees: Jake McCarthy (ARI), Mike Yastrzemski (SF)
Frelick joins Turang to give the Brewers two Gold Glove winners this season. The 24-year-old posted a .989 fielding percentage while playing all three outfield spots and third base on a couple of occasions.
NL Utility
Winner: Jared Triolo (PIT)
Nominees: Enrique Hernández (LAD), Brendan Donovan (STL)
Triolo takes home the NL's utility honor after recording seven defensive runs saved across five different positions for the Pirates.
NL Pitcher
Winner: Chris Sale (ATL)
Nominees: Luis Severino (NYM), Zack Wheeler (PHI)
The NL Cy Young front-runner added his first career Gold Glove to his mantle after collecting 22 assists and nine put-outs on 31 chances.
