Toronto Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins is not entertaining the idea of trading star shortstop Bo Bichette this offseason.

"An easy no," Atkins said Tuesday at the GM meetings when asked about teams calling in regards to Bichette, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

Bichette, who will make over $17.5 million next season, can become a free agent after the 2025 campaign.

The 26-year-old is coming off the worst season of his six-year career in which he slashed .225/.277/.322 with four homers and 31 RBIs over 81 games while dealing with multiple injuries.

Bichette said in September that his ultimate goal is to play with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. forever and win a championship with the Blue Jays. However, rumors have swirled Bichette has no interest in signing a long-term extension with Toronto.

Guerrero, the franchise's other homegrown star, can also test free agency next offseason.

Toronto finished last in the AL East in 2024 with a disappointing 74-88 record.
