The Seattle Mariners appear to be looking outside MLB to acquire talent for next season.

Seattle is among the teams interested in Korean utility player Hyeseong Kim, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

Kim, who spent the past six campaigns with the KBO's Kiwoom Heroes, will be posted sometime after Thursday before traveling to the United States to meet with clubs, according to Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News.

Seattle's second basemen combined to hit .217/.301/.349 last season, with Jorge Polanco getting the most reps. The Mariners declined a 2025 club option on Polanco and project to start Ryan Bliss at second.

Kim owns a .304/.364/.403 slash line in eight KBO seasons, and the 25-year-old can play multiple positions, including second, shortstop, and left field.
