The New York Mets agreed to a two-year, $22-million deal with left-handed reliever A.J. Minter, according to the New York Post's Joel Sherman.

Minter spent the last eight seasons with the Atlanta Braves, authoring a 3.28 ERA and 10.9 K/9 with 36 saves in 384 appearances.

He posted a 2.62 ERA in 34 1/3 innings last season, missing the end of the year after undergoing left hip surgery in August. The 31-year-old is expected to be ready for the start of spring training.

Minter will likely act as a setup man in a Mets bullpen featuring Edwin Díaz at closer.
