Seattle Mariners ace Logan Gilbert left Friday's start against the Miami Marlins after three innings with right forearm tightness.

Gilbert acknowledged postgame that he'll likely have an MRI on Saturday to determine the extent of his injury, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com.

"I don't want to make it like a pity party about myself, but I take a lot pride in (being a workhorse)," Gilbert said, according to Adam Jude of The Seattle Times. "It's kind of how I want to be known, eating innings and being dependable and being healthy. You can't control all that, but I've been healthy and never really came out of a start (because of injury)."

Gilbert didn't allow a baserunner in his abbreviated start before being replaced by right-hander Casey Lawrence.

The 27-year-old All-Star owns a 2.37 ERA with a 0.79 WHIP and 44 strikeouts over 30 1/3 innings (six starts) this season.

Gilbert logged a career-high 208 2/3 innings last year before finishing sixth in AL Cy Young voting. He's amassed 734 2/3 innings (127 starts) since his 2021 rookie season.
