Cubs place Imanaga on IL with hamstring strain
The Chicago Cubs announced Monday that left-hander Shota Imanaga landed on the 15-day injured list with a strained left hamstring.
Imanaga exited Sunday's start against the Milwaukee Brewers after suffering the injury while covering first base on a double-play attempt in the sixth inning.

Imanaga also left his last start versus the Pittsburgh Pirates with leg cramps.
The 31-year-old owns a 2.82 ERA with 1.10 WHIP and 34 strikeouts over 44 2/3 innings (eight starts) this season. He finished fifth in NL Cy Young voting during his 2024 rookie campaign.
Right-hander Gavin Hollowell was recalled from Triple-A to fill the open spot on the active roster.
