New York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodón, Kansas City Royals closer Carlos Estévez, Detroit Tigers right-hander Casey Mize, Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Drew Rasmussen, Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena, and San Diego Padres left-hander Adrian Morejon were added to MLB's All-Star Game as replacements Friday.

Estévez's teammate, infielder Maikel Garcia, was also named an All-Star for the first time as a substitution for Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe, who was placed on the injured list with oblique tightness.

Rodón will take the spot of teammate Max Fried, Estévez replaces Texas Rangers ace Jacob deGrom, Mize is going instead of Boston Red Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet, and Rasmussen replaces Los Angles Angels left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. The four hurlers who were originally selected declined to participate because they would be pitching on short rest for Tuesday's Midsummer Classic at Atlanta's Truist Park.

Morejon fills the spot vacated by Zack Wheeler of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Rodón owns a 3.30 ERA with 10.2 K/9 over 111 2/3 innings (19 starts) this season en route to becoming an All-Star for the third time in his career. Meanwhile, Estévez, now a two-time All-Star, has a 2.03 ERA with an AL-high 25 saves across 39 appearances in 2025. Mize posted a 2.63 ERA with 1.18 WHIP over 85 2/3 innings (15 starts) in the first half to become an All-Star for the first time. Rasmussen has authored a 2.82 ERA with 1.01 WHIP in 89 1/3 innings (18 starts) this year. Morejon has seven wins to his credit along with a 1.71 ERA and 0.83 WHIP in 45 appearances.

Garcia is slashing .305/.363/.464 with eight homers, 40 RBIs, and 18 stolen bases in 92 games this season.

Lastly, Mariners outfielder Julio Rodríguez decided to pull out of the event to rest up and prepare for the second half of the season, he announced Friday on social media. Arozarena, who has 15 long balls, 44 RBIs, and 15 steals with an .800 OPS in 91 games, will be in Atlanta instead of his teammate.
