The Milwaukee Brewers chased Chicago Cubs left-hander Matthew Boyd after the All-Star recorded just two outs in the first inning of Saturday's Game 1 of the NLDS.
The Brewers matched a franchise postseason record by scoring six runs on five hits in the frame to fuel a 9-3 win. Jackson Chourio capped off the big inning with a two-run single in his second at-bat.

William Contreras hit Milwaukee's third straight double to start the inning off Boyd after the Cubs had taken the lead in the top of the frame thanks to a leadoff homer by Michael Busch.

Boyd ended up surrendering six runs - two earned - on four hits with one walk and one strikeout on short rest. He last pitched Tuesday in Game 1 of the wild-card series against the San Diego Padres.
The 34-year-old's outing was the shortest playoff start by a Cubs pitcher since 1935.
Boyd posted a 3.21 ERA with 1.09 WHIP and 7.7 K/9 over 31 starts during the regular season in the best campaign of his 11-year career.
