The Minnesota Twins and catcher Victor Caratini agreed to a two-year, $14-million contract, a source told Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.
Caratini hit a career-high 12 homers with 46 RBIs and a .728 OPS over 114 games with the Houston Astros last season.
The 32-year-old can play first base or serve as a designated hitter. He made 39 starts between the two positions in 2025.
The Twins already have Ryan Jeffers as their starting backstop heading into 2026.
Minnesota's reported addition of Caratini is only the second MLB deal the team has handed out this offseason after previously agreeing to a one-year pact with veteran first baseman Josh Bell.
