Report: Kershaw, Votto, Rizzo to join NBC's 2026 MLB coverage
Clayton Kershaw, Joey Votto, and Anthony Rizzo are going into TV broadcasting.
The former MLB superstars are finalizing deals to join NBC's baseball coverage heading into the 2026 season, according to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports.
Kershaw spent his entire 18-year career with the Los Angeles Dodgers before hanging up his cleats last year. His resume includes NL MVP (2014), three NL Cy Young awards (2011, 2013, 2014), and three World Series titles (2020, 2024, 2025).
Votto, who retired in August 2024, was considered the No. 1 TV prospect for baseball by outlets such as NBC, Netflix, and ESPN, sources told McCarthy. The 2010 NL MVP and six-time All-Star suited up for the Cincinnati Reds for 17 seasons.
Lastly, Rizzo retired in September following 14 years between the San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, and New York Yankees. The three-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glover helped the Cubs end their 108-year championship drought in 2016.
NBC is returning to MLB coverage for the first time in 26 years after inking a three-year, $600-million deal last fall.
