8 MLB teams reveal new City Connect uniforms
Eight MLB teams officially unveiled their new City Connect uniforms Thursday.
The Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers revealed new designs for their alternate uniforms reflecting their cities' community and culture.
Here are their new City Connect looks in alphabetical order:
Atlanta Braves
The Braves' new uniforms give a nod to their 1980s era with a modern powder blue look.
Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles are going old school here, notably paying tribute to Camden Yards and its history.
Cincinnati Reds
Cincinnati is embracing red and returning a fan favorite with the traditional pinstripes as part of the team's look.
Kansas City Royals
The Royals represented their history and Kansas City with their new City Connects, which include a twist to the "R" to honor team's original 1969 logo.
Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers' alternates pay homage to Wisconsin, including references to the state's unique landscapes and the team's history.
Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pirates kept Pittsburgh's traditional black-and-gold color scheme with touches on their uniform that include a vintage logo and pirate-style wordmark.
San Diego Padres
The Padres honor their diverse culture, adding key details to their alternate unis in the form of a chest wordmark, sleeve patch, and patterned trim.
Texas Rangers
Displaying a "Tejas" wordmark across the chest, the Rangers incorporated a heavy dose of red, inspired by its Mexican heritage, among other innovative ideas.
