Chicago will feel hard done by as Drogba appeared to muscle Fire centre-back Jeff Larentowicz to the pitch before rising to meet Coker's pass.
The goal opened the scoring for the Impact before Chicago equalized after the interval on a 50th-minute David Accam header from the right side of the 6-yard box.
Drogba's header is his fifth goal with the Impact since joining the MLS side on July 27.
