Bellator MMA fighter Brennan Ward was arrested Monday morning in Waterford, Conn., after a domestic incident and a struggle with four police officers, according to an arrest report obtained by Lindsay Boyle of The Day.

Ward had been seen leaving a local restaurant with another man and woman shortly after midnight, when he began what the report deemed "play fighting" with the woman, Kaylin Courtois.

Police moved in to arrest both after the situation escalated and Courtois was seen hitting Ward in the face. Courtois later stated that he'd called her "derogatory names" and struck her in the face.

Visibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol, Ward reportedly became "increasingly belligerent and angry" when police attempted to arrest him. He aggressively resisted before the four officers were able to get him under control, threatening both the police and their families.

Ward showcased continued aggression and was placed in a cell after his eventual arrest. He reportedly yelled profanities, shook his door, again threatened officers and their families, and urinated in the cell.

Ward, who's since been released on a $100,000 bond, was officially charged with breach of peace, interfering with a police officer, threatening and assault on a police officer.

The 28-year-old last fought at Bellator 153 on April 22, losing to Evangelista Santos by way of a first-round submission.
