Former middleweight champion Chris Weidman agreed to face Jack Hermansson in the main event of UFC Fight Night 174 in Oklahoma City on May 2, according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
Fight agreements have yet to be signed, sources told Okamoto, but the UFC is working to finalize the bout.
Weidman (14-5), who will return to the middleweight class, last fought in October in his first bout as a light heavyweight. The 35-year-old was knocked out in the first round by Dominick Reyes.
Weidman's last win came in July 2017 versus Kelvin Gastelum.
Hermansson (20-5) had a four-fight winning streak snapped by Jared Cannonier in his most recent bout in September 2019. The Swede's last victory was a unanimous decision win over Ronaldo Souza in April.
