Former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler will step into the Octagon to replace the injured Geoff Neal against Neil Magny on a UFC Fight Night card scheduled for Aug. 29, sources told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
Lawler hasn't fought since losing by unanimous decision to Colby Covington in August 2019 and is on a three-fight losing streak.
The 38-year-old was set to square off against Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC 245, but the Argentine had to pull out due to a staph infection.
Lawler's last victory in the UFC came three years ago against Donald Cerrone.
