Dillashaw to return from suspension May 8 vs. Sandhagen

TJ Dillashaw's return date is set.

The former two-time bantamweight champion is set to face Cory Sandhagen at UFC Fight Night on May 8, the promotion announced.

The bout will serve as the main event, according to ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

Dillashaw last fought in January 2019. He served a USADA suspension over the last two years after failing a drug test for recombinant human erythropoietin (EPO) following a defeat to Henry Cejudo at flyweight.

The 34-year-old Dillashaw is 16-4 and had won his previous four bouts before losing to Cejudo.

Sandhagen, meanwhile, won his last two fights, the most recent in February versus Frankie Edgar. The No. 2-ranked bantamweight is 7-1 in the Octagon.
