Drug dealer who impersonated Conor McGregor jailed
A drug dealer who pretended to be UFC star Conor McGregor was jailed for nearly three years, according to the Surrey Police.
Mark Nye was stopped by police in Stanwell earlier this year after trying to get rid of drugs and two mobile phones. He not only told officers his name was "Connor" but he also had hundreds of business cards with "Mcgregor Enterprise" written on the front and "Best drops in Surrey" on the back. Nye used the business cards to promote his business.
Nye shares some resemblance with the MMA fighter, sharing a similar beard and hair style.
Nye will now serve two years and nine months after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs and driving while disqualified and without insurance. The police also uncovered hundreds of messages related to drug dealing when going through Nye's phones.
