Report: Shevchenko-Grasso title bout added to UFC 285
Valentina Shevchenko will defend the women's flyweight title against Alexa Grasso at UFC 285 on March 4, sources told MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn.
The event is set to take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Shevchenko (23-3) is coming off a split-decision victory over Taila Santos at UFC 275 last June. "Bullet" will attempt to extend her win streak to 10 fights and is making her eighth title defense.
Grasso (15-3) has earned her first title match after reeling off four straight wins, including a unanimous decision victory over Maycee Barber and a first-round finish over Joanne Wood.
The reported 125-pound fight would be the second title bout on the UFC 285 card. Jon Jones is squaring off with Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight title in the main event.
Middleweight prospect Bo Nickal is also making his debut with the promotion against Jamie Pickett after the fight was rescheduled, the UFC announced.
