Mike Perry will take on Eddie Alvarez in a middleweight headliner at BKFC 56, president David Feldman said Wednesday, per MMA Fighting.

Perry, the No. 1 middleweight fighter in the promotion, brings a 3-0 bare-knuckle record to the fight. The 32-year-old's most recent victory came against former UFC champion Luke Rockhold on April 29. Perry landed 30 of 60 thrown punches in that bout.

"Platinum" was the backup fighter for the Logan Paul-Dillon Danis boxing match last Saturday.

Rockhold quit the fight against Perry after sustaining severe dental damage. Alvarez says he isn't planning on letting any teeth issues stop him:

Alvarez brings a 1-0 BKFC record to the fight, having taken down former UFC fighter Chad Mendes in his promotional debut. Alvarez, a former UFC lightweight champion, went 30-8-0 (2 NC) in MMA.

Other BKFC 56 fights include Ben Rothwell and Todd Duffee battling in a co-main event heavyweight bout, Christine Ferea facing off with Bec Rawlings as the former defends the women's flyweight belt, and Kai Stewart defending his featherweight belt against Howard Davis.

The event is scheduled to take place Dec. 2 in Salt Lake City.
