Gaethje vs. Holloway for BMF belt added to UFC 300
Justin Gaethje will defend his BMF title against Max Holloway at UFC 300 on April 13, UFC CEO Dana White announced Tuesday.
The bout will be a five-round fight that'll be held at lightweight, White adds.
Gaethje's appearance at UFC 300 will be his first defense of the BMF championship, which he captured by knocking out Dustin Poirier at UFC 291. He's riding a two-fight winning streak.
Holloway hasn't lost since a decision defeat to Alexander Volkanovski in July 2022. He's won both of his last UFC fights, scoring a decision win over Arnold Allen and a knockout over "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung.
Gaethje (25-4) and Holloway (25-7) have combined for 50 victories over their MMA careers.
Additionally, a matchup between Jim Miller and Bobby Green has also been added to the card.
Miller's placement on the card will make him the only one to fight at UFC 100 in 2009, UFC 200 in 2016, and UFC 300. Previously, Miller and Brock Lesnar were the only two fighters to work both the UFC 100 and 200 events.
Miller owns the UFC record for most wins (26). The 40-year-old veteran was in action earlier this month, submitting Gabriel Benítez on a Fight Night card. Green, 37, has racked up 12 wins in the UFC.
A clash between the veterans has been scheduled three times in the past - with the most recent slated for UFC 276 - though it's never come to fruition.
The UFC 300 card also features a lightweight No. 1 contender match between Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan, as well as a women's strawweight championship defense from Zhang Weili against Yan Xiaonan.
