Dana White confirmed the UFC's plan is for the winner of Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes' fight at UFC 304 to take on the victor of a future bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.

"Absolutely," the promotion's CEO said Thursday.

Aspinall and Blaydes will face off in the co-main event of Saturday's card in Manchester, England.

Aspinall won the interim heavyweight belt at UFC 295 after defeating Sergei Pavlovich by KO. The 31-year-old owns a 14-3 record and hasn't lost since he suffered a knee injury in his first fight against Blaydes in July 2022.

Blaydes, meanwhile, carries an 18-4 record into the bout. The 33-year-old has four wins in his last five appearances, including the injury-shortened contest against Aspinall.

The fight between Jones and Miocic has yet to be scheduled but is expected to take place in 2024. They were originally scheduled to square off at UFC 295, but it was cancelled after Jones suffered a torn pectoral tendon while training.

Aspinall and Blaydes haven't fought either of Jones or Miocic in the past.
