UFC is hosting another event in Canada this year, as a women's flyweight bout between Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield will headline a Fight Night card that will take place in Edmonton on Nov. 2 at Rogers Place.

In a heavyweight co-main event, all-time UFC knockout leader Derrick Lewis will face Alexandr Romanov.

"We're going back to Canada," UFC CEO Dana White said. "I want to get back to a regular schedule back up in Canada like we used to."

Namajunas is currently the fifth-ranked fighter in the women's flyweight division. The former two-time strawweight champ is coming off a dominant win over Tracy Cortez and is 2-1 as a flyweight. Her only loss in the new division came against Manon Fiorot in 2023.

Meanwhile, Blanchfield - the No. 3 women's flyweight - also suffered a unanimous decision loss to Fiorot in her last Octagon appearance in March. The defeat snapped Blanchfield's six-fight win streak in the UFC.

UFC Edmonton will be the promotion's second 2024 event in Canada after UFC 297 in Toronto in January. It's the first UFC event to take place in Edmonton since 2019.
