Report: Yan, Figueiredo to headline UFC Macau in November
A bantamweight fight between Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo is set for UFC Macau on Nov. 23 in China, sources told Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.
It's expected to be the card's main event, Heck reports.
Yan is the No. 3 bantamweight and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Song Yadong at UFC 299 in March, snapping a three-fight losing streak. It was his only appearance of 2024, as the former UFC champion underwent surgery after sustaining a torn ACL, torn meniscus, and groin injury in the fight.
Figueiredo - the fifth-ranked in the division - won his first three bouts as a bantamweight, most recently defeating Marlon Vera by unanimous decision in August. The former UFC flyweight champ called for a bantamweight title shot after the victory.
The UFC has yet to announce other fights for UFC Macau, including the card's main event.
