Max Holloway is moving up from featherweight to lightweight, he announced Saturday.

"I can honestly say I think I'm done with 145 (pounds) ... 155 (pounds), here we come, and 155 is where I want to stay," Holloway said in a video posted to his YouTube channel.

While "Blessed" wouldn't commit to never fighting at featherweight again, he doesn't anticipate returning to the weight class.

"I'm probably not ever going back to (145 pounds)," the 32-year-old said. "I loved what I did, I did what I did, I did what I had to do there. I worked my way back. I clawed my way back up to the championship fight multiple times there. I was a champion, I defended at that weight."

Holloway owns a 26-8 record with 12 knockouts. He's fought twice in 2024 after two bouts in 2023.

Holloway is excited for the change, adding that at "155 (pounds), there's a bunch of fun fights that I cannot wait to take."

Holloway lost by knockout for the first time at UFC 308 in October. Ilia Topuria landed the finishing blow in the third round to retain the featherweight belt.
