Former UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm parted ways with the promotion, her agent, Lenny Fresquez, told Uncrowned's Ariel Helwani.

The 43-year-old, who had two fights left on her UFC deal, is now a free agent after asking the promotion to let her explore other opportunities, according to Helwani.

Fresquez said Holm plans to continue fighting and is open to extending her MMA career or boxing again. Holm is already a member of the Boxing International Hall of Fame after capturing in-ring titles in three weight classes before joining the UFC in 2015.

Holm exits the UFC with an 8-7 (1 NC) record that included a spectacular knockout win over former champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in 2015. Holm was a contender in both the bantamweight and featherweight divisions for most of her career but didn't capture the belt again after losing it to Miesha Tate in 2016.

Holm most recently lost to Kayla Harrison by submission at UFC 300 in April 2024. The loss dropped Holm to No. 8 in the UFC women's bantamweight division.
