- Longtime flyweight kingpin Demetrious Johnson is set to defend his title against John Dodson in the main event of UFC 191 in September. The dynamite-fisted Dodson gave Mighty Mouse the toughest test of his title reign when the two slung heavy leather back at UFC on FOX 6 back in 2013.
- Likely the division's No. 1 contender if he could keep his weight in check, John Lineker will have to endure at least one bout at bantamweight when he takes on 135-pound slugger Francisco Rivera at UFC 191. Despite the sojourn outside the flyweight division, Lineker is hoping to return to 125 pounds after the Rivera fight.
- UFC 191 could be chock full of elite flyweights, as multiple-time title challenger Joseph Benavidez has reportedly been linked to rising star - and Olympic gold medalist - Henry Cejudo. Cejudo bested Chico Camus via unanimous decision at UFC 188, and would certainly prove his bonifides as a legitimate contender with a victory over Benavidez, likely the top 125-pounder on the planet not nicknamed Mighty Mouse.
