Benson Henderson will make his Bellator MMA debut April 22 by challenging Andrey Koreshkov for the welterweight title, Bellator officials confirmed to Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
Henderson made his departure from the UFC official Monday, announcing on his website that he'd signed with Bellator.
The 32-year-old holds a 23-5 record across 28 fights in the UFC and WEC, including lightweight championships in both promotions.
Koreshkov, 18-1 for his career, earned the Bellator welterweight title with a unanimous decision win over Douglas Lima on July 17. The matchup with Henderson marks his first opportunity to defend the belt.
