Friday was the third race in a row that Erik Jones and his No. 4 Toyota finished in a disappointing fashion in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
With just seven laps to go at Dover International Speedway, Tyler Reddick drove his No. 19 Ford past Jones for the lead. The 19-year-old couldn't hold off Daniel Suarez in the final few laps at the Monster Mile and finished in third.
Jones finished second at Charlotte Motor Speedway in his the last truck series race. Kasey Kahne edged Jones by just 0.005 seconds in a side-by-side photo finish.
The weekend before that, at Kansas Speedway, Jones led 151-of-167 laps but ran out of fuel late in the race and ended in 11th.
Jones will try to get his second win in the Xfinity Series on Saturday in the Buckle Up 200. He will start in sixth position.
