NBA Game Summary - Philadelphia at Cleveland

Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyrie Irving totaled 24 points, five assists and five rebounds, and the Cleveland Cavaliers ran their winning streak to 11 straight with a 97-84 victory over the pesky Philadelphia 76ers.

LeBron James scored all but four of his 18 points in the first half and added 11 assists for the streaking Cavs, who are two wins shy of matching the franchise record of 13 in a row set during the 2009-10 season.

"We can't become complacent," said a hungry Irving. "We're not content with where we are."

The only team hotter than Cleveland lately has been the Hawks, who won their 19th straight on Saturday in what turned into tight battle with the Sixers.

Philadelphia nearly rallied from 21 down in that one before ultimately coming up short, and the Sixers saw another comeback thwarted Monday in their seventh straight road loss. Jerami Grant and Robert Covington led the way with 18 points apiece.

Philadelphia trailed by as many as 20 in the third quarter but went on an 11-0 run spanning the third and fourth frames to pull within 69-67.

Tristan Thompson stopped the surge with an alley-oop from James, and Irving followed with two 3-pointers to push the margin back to double digits.

There was no quit, though, in the Sixers, who answered with seven straight points before Covington drained a pair of 3-pointers and converted a three- point play to keep pace with Irving and James.

"We have confidence to stay with it and get back in games," said Covington.

Cleveland's two stars combined to score eight points during Covington's hot streak, and James set up a key Matthew Dellavedova 3-pointer that put the Cavs in front 91-83 with 2 1/2 minutes remaining.

Dellavedova drained another one from long range to cap a 10-0 run that put the game away.

The Cavs scored the game's first eight points and were in front as many as 14 in the first half despite shooting 38 percent from the field.

The Sixers shot an even worse 34 percent and turned it over 11 times. They were in a 47-35 hole at halftime, and a 12-4 run to start the third quarter -- highlight by two J.R. Smith 3-pointers -- stretched Cleveland's lead to 20.
