Durant says he's not interested in recruiting visits

Kevin Durant doesn't sound like a player about to jet set across the continent and listen to other teams fawn over him.

"That's not who I am," Durant said at Oklahoma City Thunder exit interviews Wednesday, according to The Oklahoman's Anthony Slater. "Whatever this thing entails, I'm willing to take it head on. But I'm not that type of person. Like I said, the two most important things for me is being around great people and having fun playing basketball."

Durant reiterated that he wasn't prepared to think much yet about the sweepstakes that promise to dominate NBA headlines for as long as he remains unsigned, but he did expand on familiarity being important.

"To be honest I haven't put that list together I guess," he said. "But just being around great people, being in a great basketball environment ... That's all I really care about. Who I'm going to be doing life with every single day, who I'm going to be playing basketball with every single day."

The remarks could easily be seen as promising for the Thunder, the only pro organization Durant has played for. The one-time MVP has frequently mentioned his comfort level in Oklahoma City, both with the team and in the community.

That and the machinations of the NBA salary cap have many expecting Durant to commit to a one-year deal with the Thunder in order to again maximize his salary next summer.

Durant hasn't got that far, he told reporters.

"It's too soon bro," he said. "I'm sure I'll talk to whoever I need to talk to to figure out the numbers and all that stuff that goes on. But right now I'm still reflecting, and I'm still in Game 7 mode, still trying to get out of that.

"The questions you guys are asking, I really haven't wrapped my mind around it. I haven't even thought about next week."
