Report: Andersen agrees to 1-year deal with Cavaliers
Birdman and LeBron are about to be reunited.
Free-agent big man Chris Andersen has agreed to a one-year contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The deal is for the veteran's minimum, according to multiple reports. In Andersen's case, that would be a little over $1.5 million.
The Cleveland roster addition, discussed for weeks, was made possible Friday by the trade of Sasha Kaun to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for the rights to forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum.
Andersen and LeBron James played together on the Miami Heat for two seasons, winning a title together. The 38-year-old split last season between the Heat and the Memphis Grizzlies, playing in 27 games.
Andersen effectively replaces the little-used Kaun as frontcourt depth.
