Bosh: End of Heat era 'does not mean my NBA career is over'
Chris Bosh says when he was told he had failed his latest physical that he threw his phone across the room and stormed out of his house.
"I'm glad I didn't break my phone," the 11-time All-Star joked on the latest installment of his "Uninterrupted" video series, which has tracked his attempts to return to action from a career-threatening blood clotting condition.
The video shows Bosh's real-time reaction on Monday to Miami Heat president Pat Riley telling media that the team was not working on the power forward's return, effectively ending his Heat tenure.
"OK," a dazed-looking Bosh says as a phone with the news is handed to him, before saying under his breath "that's up to him."
"I didn't get a call or a text or anything like that. I mean, it's a business. We understand that," Bosh said. "We always say those things. But if you say certain things to the person and you win championships and you have these moments, you don't want to find things out through the media."
Bosh stressed he doesn't believe his career is over.
"That does not mean my NBA career is over," Bosh said. "There's 29 other teams, it's a whole league. One team does not make up the opinion of everything."

"I didn't see my career in Miami ending like this," he adds. "I want to tell Miami ... this is not how I planned it to be. They don't want to hear Dwyane's gone. They don't want to hear, 'Oh yeah, Chris is never going to play for the Miami Heat again.' They deserve better than what they're getting right now."
