Report: Jackson teaches Knicks guards triangle ahead of team workout
New York Knicks president Phil Jackson seemingly wants his team to eat, sleep, and breathe the triangle offense, and appears willing to step in when necessary to make it happen.
The Zen Master worked with some of the Knicks' guards ahead of an informal team workout Thursday to teach them the triangle, sources told ESPN's Ian Begley. Jackson was hands-on with his instructions, according to Begley, which is rare for someone with his job title.
Head coach Jeff Hornacek told reporters Friday that it was pre-planned by Jackson.

Hornacek has been open about the Knicks bringing back the triangle for the remainder of the 2016-17 regular season. The team used the offense at the start of the year, but transitioned to a more uptempo style befitting of Hornacek's strengths.

It won't be used on an exclusive basis, though, as recommended by Jackson.
