Watch: Grandpa Ball says he taught LaVar how to act
TMZ Sports / YouTube
Who taught LaVar Ball how to act? None other than Grandpa Ball.
TMZ Sports caught up with LaVar's father outside of LAX, who was all too happy to answer questions for a total stranger with a camera. Grandpa Ball was understandably in a good mood after the family celebrated Lonzo Ball being selected No. 2 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers.
"I gotta ask. Does LaVar and Lonzo ... does the talent and the mouthpiece, does that all stem from you," the stranger asked, to which Grandpa Ball answered with a smile, "Yes it does."
Grandpa also revealed that he calls LaVar "Bravo" for always being so independent, and that LaVar was a dominant athlete in high school.
Truly, the apple does not fall far from the tree.
