Draymond Green compares LeBron to Ronaldo, Curry to Neymar
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green took in the preseason edition of El Clasico in Miami on Saturday and shared his thoughts on four of the biggest names in sports.
Green made some soccer-basketball comparisons during an appearance on ESPN at halftime. He likened his teammate Stephen Curry to Neymar, while drawing parallels between LeBron James and Cristiano Ronaldo.
"LeBron is more Cristiano," Green said. "Neymar is more like Steph."
Green didn't fully elaborate on his reasoning, but it makes some sense on a surface level. Ronaldo is a devastating combination of physicality and precision, making him similar to James, while Neymar and Curry both rely on superb skill to overcome slighter builds.
The reigning Defensive Player of the Year, who is both a Barcelona fan and a friend to Neymar, also shared his thoughts on Neymar's potential transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
"I think he can really propel a team to the next level," Green said. "When you look at the Golden State Warriors, Steph propelled us to another level, and I think Neymar can do that as well and win championships."
