Alabama freshman Collin Sexton will declare for the NBA draft, sources told AL.com's Matt Zenitz, who reports he will stay in the draft even if he doesn't immediately sign with an agent.

Sexton declaring shouldn't come as a major surprise; the dynamic 6-foot-2 guard was projected as a top-10 pick for most of the NCAA season. However, Zenitz previously reported Sexton had seriously considered returning to the Crimson Tide for his sophomore year.

The 19-year-old Atlanta native is an explosive scorer with the developing tools to play point guard at the NBA level.
