The Denver Nuggets and Will Barton have agreed to a new four-year, $54-million contract, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.
Barton will have a player option on the fourth year, and will be promoted to Denver's starting small forward for this upcoming season, Haynes added.
The 27-year-old Baltimore native turned down a four-year, $42-million extension last season, and earned himself a raise with this new deal.
Last year was by far his best as a pro, as Barton averaged 15.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists over 81 games while shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 37 percent from downtown, and 80.5 percent at the free-throw line.
