The Los Angeles Clippers have come to terms with Mike Scott on a one-year contract, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Clippers brass pushed hard for Scott's commitment, with owner Steve Ballmer, general manager Lawrence Frank, and head coach Doc Rivers all flying to Dallas to meet with the 29-year-old, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.
Scott had a resurgent season coming off the Washington Wizards' bench this season, averaging 8.8 points per game on 52.5 percent shooting from the floor and 40.5 percent from 3-point range.
The Chesapeake, Va. native also stepped up in the playoffs, averaging 10.8 points in six games and going 19-for-30 beyond the arc.
