The Denver Nuggets traded small forward Wilson Chandler to the Philadelphia 76ers, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Philadelphia will also acquire a 2021 second-round pick and the right to swap second-round picks in 2022 in the deal, according to Sports Illustrated's Jake Fischer.

With the Nuggets well into the luxury tax, Chandler and his $12.8-million salary for next season were on the trade block for some time. Moving on from the forward would save the team $50 million in combined salary and tax payments, reports ESPN's Bobby Marks.

Chandler can play both forward spots and would serve as another veteran mentor in Philly's locker room to their young crop of wings, including Zhaire Smith, Justin Anderson, and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot.

Starting 71 of 74 games last season, the 31-year-old averaged 10 points and 5.4 rebounds on 44.5 percent shooting.
