It was an emotional win for the Washington Wizards as the team rallied from 24 points down to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 125-118 on Tuesday.
But winning doesn't cure everything, including the recent turmoil surrounding the team, as the mood within the locker room remained unchanged postgame.
"It’s fucked up what’s going on. So I wouldn’t say that it makes it nicer. We’ve just got to figure it out," Markieff Morris said, according to The Athletic's Fred Katz.
"The comments that’s coming from the locker room is fucked up. It don't happen in other sports. So it’s messed up."
When Bradley Beal was asked if this can be fixed long term, he remained hopeful.
"I'm not a future predictor. Nobody is. But you just ride the course and take it a day at a time and professionally that's how I take it," Beal said. "So each day, we try to get better. Each day you just chip away at it."
Earlier this week, reports surfaced of an altercation between John Wall and Jeff Green during practice while Beal got into it with Austin Rivers.
The Wizards are now 6-11 and return to action on Friday against the Toronto Raptors.
