Report: Dirk invited to participate in Three-Point Contest

Dirk Nowitzki has been invited to participate in the Three-Point Contest at the NBA All-Star weekend in Charlotte, N.C., league sources told Marc Stein of The New York Times.
It would be Nowitzki's sixth career appearance in the sharpshooting competition - an event he won in 2006.
The Dallas Mavericks legend is a career 38.2-percent shooter from long distance. The 40-year-old is averaging 3.8 points per contest in his 21st and likely final season in the NBA.
