LeBron feels no urgency to win another title

With the Los Angeles Lakers in Boston to face the Celtics on Thursday, LeBron James was asked about the sustained success of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady at age 41 and if he plans to follow a similar path.

Unlike Brady, who's said he'll play professional football until he's 45, the 34-year-old Lakers superstar isn't putting a cap on his playing days.

"I think the time will tell itself, you know, when it's time for me or I feel like it's time for me to stop playing," James said, according to Mass Live's John Karalis. "But I don't see it in the foreseeable future."

With L.A. reportedly pursuing New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis, many of the Lakers' young players have been reportedly offered in a potential deal as the club looks to position itself for a title run and strike while James is still playing at a high level.

But the three-time Finals MVP doesn't feel an increased urgency to win another championship.

"There's nothing I need to get in this league that I don't already have," James said. "Everything else for me is just like icing on the cake. I love the process of everything I go through to be able to compete every single night and put teams in position to compete for championships. But there's nothing I'm chasing or feel like I need to end my career on."
