New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday has been diagnosed with a lower abdominal strain and will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days, the team announced Thursday.
Holiday suffered the injury in Wednesday night's loss to the Utah Jazz. He left the game with 16 points, three boards, three assists, and two steals in 32 minutes played.
The 6-foot-4 guard is averaging a career-high 21.2 points, 7.7 assists, and five rebounds per contest across 67 appearances.
Holiday, 28, is in his sixth season with the Pelicans and is signed through the 2020-21 season. He has a $26.2-million player option for the 2021-22 campaign.
