Tiebreakers finalized for 2019 NBA Draft lottery order
The NBA held a tiebreaker Friday to determine the draft positions of teams with the same record for the 2019 NBA Draft.
The first tiebreaker decided the order for teams that finished with a 53-29 record:
- 25th - Portland Trail Blazers
- 26th - Houston Rockets (pick owned by Cleveland Cavaliers)
The second tiebreaker regarded teams that finished 49-33:
- 21st - Oklahoma City Thunder
- 22nd - Boston Celtics
The third involved teams that ended 48-34:
- 18th - Indiana Pacers
- 19th - San Antonio Spurs
- 20th - Los Angeles Clippers (picked owned by Celtics)
The fourth tiebreaker determined the order for teams at 42-40:
- 16th - Orlando Magic
- 17th - Brooklyn Nets
The fifth tiebreaker decided the ranking for teams that finished 39-43:
- 12th - Charlotte Hornets
- 13th - Miami Heat
- 14th - Sacramento Kings (owned by Celtics)*
*Celtics receive more favorable first-round pick between Kings and 76ers
The sixth tiebreaker regarded teams that finished 33-49:
- 7th - New Orleans Pelicans
- 8th - Memphis Grizzlies*
- 9th - Dallas Mavericks (owned by Atlanta Hawks)**

**Mavericks' first-round pick is top-five protected
The final tiebreaker involved teams that ended 19-63:
