NBA spoke with Raps about Drake's antics
Things went from zero to 100 real quick.
The NBA spoke to the Toronto Raptors during the Eastern Conference finals about the rapper's sideline antics, a league spokesperson told ESPN's Michele Steele.
Drake's behavior became quite the talking point during the penultimate round when cameras caught him laughing and strumming an air guitar after Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo missed a free throw. The Greek Freak's rep called Drake's actions "disrespectful" while Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said there was "no place for" his shenanigans.
This isn't the first time the Raptors' global ambassador has been in hot water with the league. The NBA warned Drake during last year's playoffs after he got into a verbal postgame exchange with then-Cleveland Cavaliers center Kendrick Perkins.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver issued a league-wide memo in March reminding teams to state and enforce their fan conduct policies.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals is Thursday at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena.
