Report: Bucks sign Mason to 2-way deal

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a two-way contract with guard Frank Mason, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Mason averaged 5.1 points on 42 percent shooting across 38 appearances for the Sacramento Kings last season. However, his 3-point shooting dipped from 36 percent during his rookie year to 21.9 percent this past campaign.

The 25-year-old will likely need to rediscover his stroke from downtown in order to find more playing time with his new club. Milwaukee was second in the Association in triples made and attempted per game during the 2018-19 season.

Mason was selected 34th overall by the Kings in the 2017 NBA Draft after a standout collegiate career at Kansas. He averaged 20.9 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.2 boards per contest during his senior year with the Jayhawks en route to sweeping the National Player of the Year awards.

Mason ended his time at Kansas as a consensus first-team All-American, the Big 12 Player of the year, and the Bob Cousy Award winner as the nation's top point guard.
