Cleveland Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson is available ahead of Thursday's NBA trade deadline, sources told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.
The Cavaliers are tied for the league's second-worst record and are in "asset accumulation mode," Haynes reports.
Thompson is set to hit free agency at season's end and is averaging career highs in points (11.9 per game) and rebounding (10.4). He currently ranks third in the Association with 4.1 offensive rebounds per contest.
The 28-year-old is a seasoned vet with 78 games of playoff experience, including four consecutive runs to the NBA Finals.
Thompson could also help prospective teams on the defensive end with his rim protection and ability to guard multiple positions.
