Kings' Holmes out at least 2-3 more weeks with shoulder injury
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes will be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks due to a labral tear in his right shoulder joint, the team announced Tuesday, according to The Athletic's Jason Jones.
The fifth-year big man has already missed the club's last 16 games. He received a platelet-rich plasma injection Monday.
Prior to being sidelined, Holmes flourished in a starting role for the oft-injured Marvin Bagley this season, as he averaged career highs in points (13.1 per game) and rebounds (8.5) across 37 appearances.
Holmes agreed to a two-year, $10-million deal with the Kings this past offseason.
Sacramento's frontcourt continues to be depleted by injuries. In addition to Holmes and Bagley, newly acquired players Jabari Parker and Alex Len also missed Monday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
